Myself on the Train

Nothing much to be honest. Just myself on the train looking at camera’s LCD. Went out to Central London last week and was on my way home. I didn’t realize until my brother told me he recorded the video.

Central London

I was walking down to Buckingham Palace and amazed by these giant trees. I should have captured these big trees months ago but I didn’t because it was my first time walking down there since I came here last May. I know it’s a shame but I finally made it yesterday, haha.

Fortunately, the weather was quite mild yesterday so, it didn’t cause me trouble to expose myself to walk down the street taking pictures. Unfortunately, there was no sun and the sky was completely white surrounded by the clouds. I tried my best to get the best shots but it would have been better with the sunlight I reckon.

My original plan was to get a few candid shots from the street but it didn’t turn out very well I guess. I’m not blaming my 17-85mm lense but I think it’s good to have zoom lense if you want to get closer shots of people. Some of you may ask me why didn’t I get closer to the subject? Well, perhaps I wasn’t brave enough. Otherwise, I would have gone to someone randomly and asked them directly for a shot. If that day is my unlucky day, I would probably get a slap, haha. As a matter of fact, that’s why it’s called “candid”. It is because of the unawareness. If you go closer, people would notice you’re taking their pictures.

It is normal to not have your photos if you go out on your own (in that case, I refer to myself, haha). The only shots you get are sculptures and perhaps a few sceneries. I wish I had a friend who enjoyed photography as much as myself, but the thing is I haven’t got one yet. At least you have got someone to chat while walking or taking pictures.

I bet this red telephone booth is one of the famous subject to be photographed. It’s like most people or tourist I would say get this shot by holding the phone’s cradle pretending they’re on the phone, haha. I would have done that as well if I had someone to photograph myself.

I could have got closer shot if I had zoom lense, hehehe.

You can’t escape yourself from taking the Great Britain landmark, the Big Ben. I was staring at it for a few minutes before pressing the shutter thinking how can I get different composition or perhaps angle if possible. I even saw people lying down on the floor to get a shot. Probably their lense was not wide enough but they tried to get full frame of Big Ben so it caused them to lie down for perfect shot (I think so).

Eventually I managed to get myself in the frame! Hahaha. But the question is, who took the picture? Jeng jeng jeng…

Laziness

I was being so lazy lately. Today I was late for work again. I missed the train I regularly get. Can I just blame the cold weather? It is such a wonderful weather to be wrapped up in a blanket to keep your body nice and warm. Can I just not go to work and sleep all day long? Oh how I wish I could do that on week days certainly! Nope, weekend not counted! I think I have broken my own record by going late to work for five days in a row. Now, who’s the man? Hehe. Yea, I know it doesn’t seem to be a good thing to show off but I just can’t figure out why I became so lazy lately. I even fell asleep at work! And even worse, one of my colleague noticed it! In other word, I got caught!! So, I told her that I did not have enough sleep and that’s why I’m always drowsy at work. Well, I was telling the truth actually. Perhaps I just spend too much time on the net. Sometimes I just idle, doing nothing. I’m just sitting in front of my PC watching YouTube, listening to MP3s.

What people don’t know about me is, I can actually listen to the same song over and over again until I don’t want it anymore. Most of the time I continue it on the next day. So on and so forth. So, I’m not really browsing for new songs. In fact, it just happens. It always happens when I’m browsing through YouTube and accidentally found something interesting. Something that fits my brain. Well, I enjoy listen to all types of music but my favourite will always be Jazz, R&B and Soul. Hmm, now I just realized something wrong with my head. Did you notice it? I was talking about my laziness and all of a sudden I jumped onto other subject. This is what happen when you are supposed to be in bed at this hour haha. Okay I’m going to stop talking nonsense. Perhaps, I will be continuing some other times whenever I feel like writing. Till then… bye bye and goodnight all!!

A Little Boy

Just a photograph of a little boy taken back in December 2007. What I like most about this photograph is the eye contact. You know how hard it is to get eye contact when taking pictures of kids. Secondly, I think the blue background fits his stripe jacket quite well. Wait, is that a background or floor? I’m confused now. I reckon it’s floor because I was standing while taking his picture. So, I was lucky enough to get this shot because he is such a lovely and adorable boy. Like me! Hahaha.

Spain - Chapter 3 (Alhambra)

The last chapter from my trip to Spain last December. I have nothing to write actually. Let the pictures tell the story. So sorry for being so late to post the photos. I know I should have posted long time before. Anyway, it was an amazing trip for me. Never thought in my life I would plan a trip to Spain. Alhambra was the last place I visited after Malaga, Cordoba and Gibraltar. Save last for the best, hehe. So, here are a few photos taken in Alhambra. Hope you enjoy it.

I have loads of photos actually after got home from Spain but I deleted half of it. Basically, there were a few same photos which I only needed one. Of course I did a selection first before deleting. Took me hours to select which one to keep or delete to make sure I didn’t delete the one that I wanted. I prefer less but wonderful photos to look at rather than thousands of photos but only junk. At least, it doesn’t waste my hard drive space!

Fortunately, I have my brother to cover all my photos, hahaha. Thank you bro. Much appreciated.
