A bit of everything

Aqiqah

December 30th, 2007 Faris

It was a lovely day yesterday. The sun shone pleasantly. It’s been a while I didn’t see it since winter. That’s the different between here and Malaysia. In Malaysia, people run away and try not to be lit by the sun because it’s hot but in here, we chase for the sun LOL. If there’s one, people will search for spot so that they can get the warmth from the sunlight. Being here for six months, now I appreciate the sun so much haha.

Went to my brother’s friend’s place. Actually it was held in Malaysia Hall. They were having aqiqah for their new baby boy. Congratulation to them. Anyway, this was my second time attending islamic occassion in the UK held by Malaysian community if not mistaken. The last time I went to Malaysia Hall was during Ramadhan doing solat terawih. They run random of activities quite frequent I guess. It’s just that I live quite a distance from the area hence, I rarely go there unless for purposes.

The strange thing about me is that I sometimes can be demotivated with my photography thingy. I don’t know why it happens but I do get that kind of feeling sometimes. Like recently, that bloody mood returned and I just don’t know what to do to wipe that out from my head. Plus, I’m quite frustrated with myself because I am so naive when I have a camera but I don’t know how to fully utilize it? Do you know what I mean? Well, I guess it’s just need a bit more practice to get familiar with the camera setting. However, that shouldn’t be an excuse to get good pictures I reckon. Perhaps I should consider going down to Central London more often to see what’s happening in town and more importantly, to improve my photography skills.

Back to aqiqah story. The occassion went smoothly and I’m pretty sure everyone enjoyed the food as well LOL. We Malaysian can’t never be apart from food can we? Hahaha. Face the reality guys hahaha. I’m not saying to anybody. In fact, me myself loves food very much. I can eat 4 to 5 times per day…oopss!! Unsure but I think I was the only one to miss when the baby being carried and walked around to get his hair cut. I wanted to do it badly to feel the experience because I never done any but I was a bit “busy” taking photos at the moment. Nevermind, in the next aqiqah whenever it comes, I’ll ensure I won’t miss it again! LOL.
