Forced myself to wake up in the morning for the birthday party of my niece and nephew. They both share same date which is 1st of January. Well, probably their parents have another agenda on that particular date and also, it is not weekend so they managed the birthday two days earlier. As usual, I was the man to cover the party pictures or not too much for me to say an official photographer for this special day.

So basically Ashman will be 4 and Arisha will turn 3 tomorrow. Happy birthday to both of them. In fact, I just realized, their uncle just celebrated his birthday couple of days ago hahaha. My colleagues always “puke” when I say I am the greatest and best christmas gift ever because my date of birth is on 24th of December which is on christmas eve LOL. That is actually taken from my father’s words. I am considered as a “christmas gift” LOL.

To Ashman and Arisha, HAPPY BIRTHDAY from Uncle Ris.
Love,
Faris

It was a lovely day yesterday. The sun shone pleasantly. It’s been a while I didn’t see it since winter. That’s the different between here and Malaysia. In Malaysia, people run away and try not to be lit by the sun because it’s hot but in here, we chase for the sun LOL. If there’s one, people will search for spot so that they can get the warmth from the sunlight. Being here for six months, now I appreciate the sun so much haha.

Went to my brother’s friend’s place. Actually it was held in Malaysia Hall. They were having aqiqah for their new baby boy. Congratulation to them. Anyway, this was my second time attending islamic occassion in the UK held by Malaysian community if not mistaken. The last time I went to Malaysia Hall was during Ramadhan doing solat terawih. They run random of activities quite frequent I guess. It’s just that I live quite a distance from the area hence, I rarely go there unless for purposes.

The strange thing about me is that I sometimes can be demotivated with my photography thingy. I don’t know why it happens but I do get that kind of feeling sometimes. Like recently, that bloody mood returned and I just don’t know what to do to wipe that out from my head. Plus, I’m quite frustrated with myself because I am so naive when I have a camera but I don’t know how to fully utilize it? Do you know what I mean? Well, I guess it’s just need a bit more practice to get familiar with the camera setting. However, that shouldn’t be an excuse to get good pictures I reckon. Perhaps I should consider going down to Central London more often to see what’s happening in town and more importantly, to improve my photography skills.

Back to aqiqah story. The occassion went smoothly and I’m pretty sure everyone enjoyed the food as well LOL. We Malaysian can’t never be apart from food can we? Hahaha. Face the reality guys hahaha. I’m not saying to anybody. In fact, me myself loves food very much. I can eat 4 to 5 times per day…oopss!! Unsure but I think I was the only one to miss when the baby being carried and walked around to get his hair cut. I wanted to do it badly to feel the experience because I never done any but I was a bit “busy” taking photos at the moment. Nevermind, in the next aqiqah whenever it comes, I’ll ensure I won’t miss it again! LOL.

Faris

Wallaaaaa!!! Here I am with Spain entry as I promised. I’m not sure what had happened but I am be a bit confused with my writings lately. Feel like I’ve been writing nonsense. My brain is not functioning well. Oh bloody hell, I just started writing and the clock is already 12 am in the morning??? What the toot? Am I going to sleep or stay in front of my computer continue with this entry? I’m working tomorrow! I can’t stay up too late otherwise, I will be sleeping at work which I’m already used to it! LOL just kidding! Okay let’s stop mumbling and shall we continue with Spain trip? Alright then.
In the first place, I want to thank God for giving me lots of opportunities to fulfill my little dreams. I never thought I would have capability to go travel abroad. Never in my head ever imagine to plan a trip to such a fabulous countries and yet so far, I have been to Abu Dhabi (my first ever middle east country I visited), Dubai, then followed by Italy and the latest is Spain. It’s like a dream when all these things happen. God bless me with such a wonderful life and I am so grateful for that. Thank you God.

By the way, I booked the ticket to Spain about a month in advance if not mistaken. So, the ticket was quite cheap and it was a good deal though. That’s one I thing I like being here. You get a chance to fly to any european countries with budget flight. So, don’t need to worry much about it as long as you plan your trip earlier. Can’t believe I’m running out of ideas. Think I have nothing to write anymore. Duhhh I’m so pathethic.

Mountains view through plane window.

Malaga from the top. Approaching Malaga airport.

On the way to Marbella.

It was windy and about to rain when we got here.
By the way, the story at the airport… after picking up our bags and stuff, we went straight to car rental and hired Zafira. The car was nice but it could cause a little bit of problem when the driver seat is on left hand side. Because I was the ONLY hope, so I had to drive hahaha. Just kidding. Luckily, we’ve got Joe who’s already used to it so we put a trust on him to take the F1 seat. Nevertheless, we rotated regularly along the way whenever each of us is drowsy or tired. The trickiest part was when we’re at a roundabout or junction. I regularly tend to go on the other way around which is against the road. So, need to think and put extra focus while driving. So tiring but fun. Malaga itself is a beautiful place. Quite similar to Italy but the mountains in Spain are absolutely incredible. I’ll story that in the next chapter later on. Stayed at Playa Andalucia hotel which is in Marbella (the pronounciation is Marbeyya if not mistaken). Such a wonderful accomodation I tell you!

This is the view from my room. If you notice, there’s a beach over there on the right corner of this picture. So you have got the view and the sound of waves and wind from the beach as well. You can see the pool is empty because we went there during winter season. Just imagine how’s the pool like during summer. Surely there will be loads of people and the rooms are also fully booked as well. So, I think it can be considered to go travel or have vacation during winter season because there will be less busy and people around.
Okay I guess I’ll be stopping here for now. Too lazy to continue. This is just the beginning. I’ll be continuing next chapters on my next entry ya.
Thanks a lot for coming and reading. Till then.
P.S : I will upload my full travel photos on my website. Will inform later once its ready.
Love,
Faris

What a great day! Happy, excited, grateful, these are different kind of feelings I ever experienced so far. They all mixed up together very well. By the way, I just came back from Spain yesterday and it was an amazing trip I must say. Sightseing, pictures, people, places, they were all fantabulous. I’m not going to let only words to describe my excitement. I shall share some photos from the trip whenever they’re ready. Just transferred them to my hard drive last night before went to bed. So, I haven’t really done anything yet, and also need to delete those unnecessary. Not all can be used for sure. Exhausted but absolutely satisfiying holiday.
My brother was the first to wish me on my 24 birthday last night right after we came home nearly 1 am in the morning. Then followed by mobile text messages from friends. Thought nobody remembered. Had dinner or supper or whatever you call it at half past one in the morning! Yes, I know it’s not healthy but what else can you do to please your bloody starving tummy? Gosh, I wish I never had to wake up in the next morning. I wanted to sleep for the whole day but I just can’t! I had to go to work! Slept for just four hours and had to get up again. Luckily, today is a christmas eve and we only work until one o’clock in the afternoon. As usual, I take a train at 08:36 and arrived at the station 08:53. Normally, I take earlier train which is at 08:21 but I couldn’t get enough sleep so, I had to drag my journey a bit late but as long as I don’t miss the train, it should be alright. Thought I was quite late so I ran as I got close to the offce and all of a sudden someone shouted at me. “Hey, Faris! Why are you in a hurry? It’s christmas eve today! Chill out!” I turned back, it was my colleague.

Sally (picture above) was the first person to wish me happy birthday when I got in. Also thanks so much Sally for the present! I was shocked actually as I stepped in the office because my desk was full of cards and gifts. I didn’t expect anything but, hey it’s been a while I didn’t get lots of presents like this. Thanks so much everyone… and I haven’t replied to anyone of them yet! What a cruel! And guess what? I even won the first raffle prize from office christmas party!! Woohoo!! The prize is a 15″ LCD television. I’ve got nothing to say. I’m speechless. Thankfully I’m so lucky this time.

At night, I had birthday dinner at Memsaheb restaurant in Docklands. It’s an Indian food restaurant if not mistaken. Or Bangladeshi, I’m not sure but the food was good. I wish I could show my delicious chicken briyani
Because I was so hungry last night, or starving to be exact, I completely ignore the thought of taking pictures of the meals. I think we were the first customer to get in the restaurant. It opens at 6.00 pm and we were already there quarter to six. Everyone hasn’t eaten anything since afternoon so, no wonder why we were so excited to get in there haha.

So, that’s it. My first time celebrating birthday outside Malaysia. Turned 24 on 24th. Hopefully will be bring lots of joy and happiness to me. Happy birthday to me. Thank you God. Thank you everyone for everything.
P.S : Do come back for Spain entries! Coming up soon!

Faris

Oh gosh… the weather really got me now. All of a sudden I got headache while in the office this evening. I don’t know is it the weather or am I too stressed at work? Wish I could tell. Think I’m not that stress. Winter makes me become a lazy person and all I want to do is stay at home, wrap my body up to keep the temperature nice and warm, sitting on the couch watching television or surfing the net and have some snacks. How I wish I could overcome this. And the most challenging part is getting up in the morning. Urghh, I wish this never happened to me. Oh by the way, tomorrow is going to be my last day working for this week. Why? Can’t believe you forgot it already! I’m going to Spain can’t you remember? Oh yes, I’m so excited. Even though that is just for a few days, at least it will keep me apart from reality world for a while to enjoy the fun moment to the fullest (hopefully).
Oh sugar! Now I just missed one thing. I wanted to get a new mobile phone before I go to Spain but I don’t think it can be done before this Wednesday because surely it will take time to sort out the information and details. Most importantly, I want the phone! I’m actually thinking of getting Nokia N95. Yea, I know there are so many people have this model. But what can I say? It has got all the features I want. So, why bother? It’s pretty tough to make a decision upon what phone to get considering there are loads of new models on the market nowadays and it always makes me jumped from one to another models everytime I look them on the net. Just bear in mind, I need something that can be used multi-purposely. What I mean is, I want the phone to have a camera, video and also mp3. Apart from that, it’s good to have additional features as well such as GPS and stuff. I’m not a phone freak so, I can’t really tell which is the best for me. LG Viewty isn’t bad at all. I’ve seen the review and what impressed me was the video rate. It can capture up to 120 frame per second. Man, that’s like having a camcoder? No? Have seen the video sample and the quality comes out pretty good. Can’t remember there’s one model where you can transfer the video recorded from the phone directly to YouTube. Fantastic isn’t it? So many things are possible nowadays. Guess I’ll have to wait after come back from holiday then.
Must sleep now. It’s already 00:20 am. Wish I could blog more but time is ticking and apparently it doesn’t stop. I’ll have to force myself really bad to get up in the morning if I don’t sleep now. See you guys later k.
Bubbye!!
Love,
Faris
