I have just added new page on my blog, Music Station. If you have no idea where is the link, it is on your left side under Pages menu. Those are some of my favourite songs which I regularly listen to. I’ll be adding more songs in the future. So, stay tuned! Enjoy your stay.
Cheers,

It’s weekend again! I’m really looking forward to go to Central London to see what’s happening after missed a few events last weekend held near London Tower Bridge. There was Thames Festival or some call it end of summer party. The only thing is, it’s fasting month. It makes me a bit lazy to go out. I rather stay at home watching tv or surfing the net or listening to music, but I’ll be missing all great stuff in town. It’s been a while now I didn’t take photos. Someone once said to me, if you wanna be good in math, do exercises everyday. Same in photography. It’s all about sharpening skills. Another problem is, I tend to get extra sleep during weekend. I bet we are all the same? LOL.
Last night I went to Malaysia Hall for the first time to have fast breaking. I was so excited when I got there because I rarely meet Malaysians since I came here until last night, I saw all Malaysians gathered in one room. Felt like hommy. Arrived there quite late. Nearly to breaking time so, all tables were occupied and the room was kind of packed with people. Luckily I managed to get myself “nescafe beng” and “murtabak” but no place to sit so, I had to go outside. Had to wait for about half and hour then I went back inside to have proper meal. The funny thing happened after I ordered the meal was, the lady who attended me asked whether am I a student or not? I said, no, I’m working. She said, “owh alright, if you’re a student, we’re giving free meal.” And I was like… what the tuttt! If only I knew, you know what I’m gonna answer. Well, it’s too late anyway. I smiled to her and said, “nevermind, I’ll come back again next time as a student.” She laughed.
I enjoyed the food. Felt like eating malaysian food. Well, it was malaysian food LOL. It was almost 8.00 pm when I finished the meal. After washing my hand, I went back to my seat and started thinking, where should I go now. I know nobody here, I have no friends, I’m not familiar with this place, I’m just gonna sit here until someone come to me and say Hi? Nobody ever do that I reckon. Then suddenly I remembered one thing. I haven’t done maghrib prayers yet. So I quickly went to ask is there any surau here? They said yes. Alright, at least now I’ve got something to do rather than just idle. The surau was dark but there was a voice reciting quran. Apparently, there was a guy inside surau but he turned off the front light because there was nobody. After done the maghrib prayers, went back outside and sat on the steps alone waiting for terawih. I didn’t know they do terawih until that guy I met in the surau told me it’ll begin at 9.15 pm.
Now I really felt like Malaysia during solat terawih. It’s been a while because I normally do my solat jumaat at Barking Mosque where all of them are Pakistani. The way they recite azan, iqamah and quran are totally different from Malaysian. Pakistani have their own accent and melody when they do those stuff. As for me, of course I prefer Malaysian way. Anyway, back to terawih story. After finished solat terawih, an announcement was made for all to stay for a while because someone was very kind to sponsor foods for jemaah. Bak kata pepatah melayu, “rezeki jangan di tolak, musuh jangan di cari”. I stayed there and enjoyed the food to the fullest. Until now, I can still feel it. I think I have no problem if I missed sahur this morning LOL. Good thing happened as I stayed there, I managed to make a few new friends. I’m glad now ‘coz at least, I have contacts whenever I come back again.
All of a sudden, I saw someone where his face looked quite familiar to me. Surprisingly, it was my old friend! My primary school friend! We haven’t met for about 13 years I guess since he moved to another school. He didn’t recognize me. I did. He looked shocked when I told my name ‘coz he barely recognized my face but he still remember my name. So, it was amazing what had happened to me last night. Something you never expect. It was fun though meeting new people, get to know new places, new environment ‘coz you’ll never know what’s gonna happen.
Love,
Faris
